is250. How will it handle? I love how my car handles but it is sooo unreliable. I have taken the IS on 2 test drives but am still not sure if it will handle okay on the interstate. The IS350 has too much power for me so that is why I opted for the 250. I also drove an 08 accord, TSX and TL, and they were great just a bit uncomfortable. Any suggestions are appreciated. BTW I will not buy another German car, great handling but maintenance is brutal.

Start out by checking reliability scores from Consumer Reports and move on from there.

You will soon see the cars not to buy - most American and just about all European - especially the German vehicles. Also something to bear in mind is that most of the European vehicles are imported and with the $ so weak, we are paying a premium.

I drive a Subaru - can't beat the reliability and roadholding. If you've never driven a true permanent AWD vehicle you are missing out on an experience. While on the subject of AWD - Subaru and Audi are the way to go - except Audis break down. AWD's from Honda, Volvo, Chrysler, GMC etc are glorified 2WD systems - Haldex - don't be fooled.

I would go Japanese.
