I am fortunate to be able to afford a quality automobile. Before buying my 2007 ES350, I conducted a thorough research not only of other brands and models but also of the various Lexus models. Cost was not the determining factor in my choice to buy the ES..

What I found in the ES350 was a car that met all of my needs and desires. It did so at a surprisingly low price which included all of the creature comfort features that I love to have in a car.

I found that the ES had the right exterior and interior dimensions that I favor in a car. The cockpit is roomy and the lugagge compartment large enough to hold whatever I buy at stores or wish to carry to the range.

Although my garage is small, the ES has room to spare in it. This was an important consideration because I have scratched other cars because of tight spaces.

My days of driving a high performance vehicle are over so when evaluating what to buy, I passed on the diesel and V8 German and Infiniti brands and also on the larger Lexus models.

Many posts in other forums tell of deficiencies, design flaws and mechanical failures with the 2007 ES350. To date, I have not experienced a single problem with my ES.

Having now owned my ES since June 2007, I am pleased to tell one and all that I have found it to be a superb luxury (not entry luxury) automobile.

Thank you for the review. I know where you're coming from in regards to 'entry-level' luxury. It's just not entry-level. It's no doubt above that. I love the ES and I think the issues with it are over-estimated...

LF, W.E.B. Griffin my favorite author of military fiction has written, "The true test of another man's intelligence is the degree to which he agrees with you."

I can see LF, that you are a man of great intelligence.

To be serious, the ES350 really is a wonderful car. I think that we hear negatives from those who have problems with their Lexus while those who do not encounter any trouble seldom raise their voices. Thus, we hear only news that is bad about the Lexus.

Thanks for your reply.

Funny! I have to remember that quote!

The ES and LS are both very close nowadays. The LS does have some very nice features not found in the ES, but otherwise, they're very close. I think the ride is about the same.. The noise? Not sure.. Not sure how quiet it is compared to the new LS.. The power is less than the LS but it's more than adequate..
