The brakes are fine but the brake light will not turn off. The emergency brake has been turned off and on and the light still won't turn off. Someone help please!?

Check the brake fliud level in the brake master cylinder ,to make sure it,s full. You also need to make sure the e - brake is releasing fully so that it is pushing the brake light switch all the way in,sometimes the switch gets loose and wont allow the e-brake to hit the switch enough to push it all the way in.

if the light came on after a heavy footed stop then the chances are there is something wrong with the brakes even though you dont feel anything wrong.I would take to a good shop and have my brakes blead and my stop light switch checked.Even though the e-brake works does not mean that when you release the e-brake that it is coming all the way off.so as you can see there is several ways for the light to stay on.Just remember those four little things that are bolted to your hubs are the only thing that means the difference between a good day and something realy bad messin g up your day.please have them checked to make sure that you are safe.
