Is there some method for resetting the light other than an OBD-II device?

The Odometer reset is what you use to reset the Maint reset light. just before you turn the key to accessory(one click over from off) press down the odo reset. (also known the trip reset) You will either get five dashes{-----} Or the maint light will blink 3 times and go out. If you get the dashes, they will go down(starts with five then four then three...etc) then the light will go out. I work at a Toyota dealership in the service dept and I deal with that light everyday. You normally get that light when it's time for an oil change.

If you do not feel comfortable trying to change the light, just head to the dealership!
