I have the chance to purchase an '07 Lexus 250 IS, fully loaded w/ Navigation w/ 1,600 miles from someone who is moving out of the country for $34K or should I purchase a brand new '07 Infiniti G35 w/o Navigation for around the same amount?

I'm not too concerned about hp. Just wondering which is a better buy, safety record, performance, and which do you find better looking?

Just go with the lexus...because the G35 is supposed to be the "New American" Nissan Skyline...but it isn't. That and the Lexus is just nicer in my opinion.

I'm not sure about safety, but I would definately go with the G35. Im no fan of buying new cars (they cost too much, and aren't that much better than used ones) but, I think the G35 would be a better buy. It looks more classy than the lexus, and is just more exotic. I would get the coupe though. I've raced G35's and IS's, and the G35's are definately faster than the IS's
