...says his name James Uratu true? He said he posted the car on Yahoo autos which is where i send if the e-mail but i not sure he is telling the truth. I wanted to know if yahoo autos acted as a third part in selling and buying cars from private owners?

I have been in the car business for 25 years. Yahoo may have cars up for sale on their web site. I would not entertain buying this car at all. $2800 for a 2002 lexus of any kind still fetches a nice piece of money unless it has no engine. Save your money on this one.

Don't trust him and dont buy something from him,
he will make a lot of money and dont give you the thing you tought you buyed.
He doesn't even owns the things he's selling, he just searches photo's of the product.
