I'm contemplating buying a Lexus RX 400h. However, I'd like to find out safety data and haven't been able to find much. Anything people could point me too would be awesome.

View Full Version : How safe is the Lexus RX 400h? jpbischke 10-20-2007, 05:34 AM I'm contemplating buying a Lexus RX 400h. In fact, Lexus' advertisement theme for the RX is safety. They have 14 actively safe features on them like airbags, traction control, VDIM, etc. Here is a video of the frontal offset crash test for the 2004 RX 330 (the design of the RX 400h is the same so the rating will also be the same): http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Model_Photos.aspx?action=Video&picturetab=video&modelid=11948&trimid=-1&familyid=0&pictureid=0&usage=&file=http://autos.msn.com//media/asx/iihs/0322.asx The RX got top marks. See how only the front was damaged. Usually, cars in this type of crash will have the sides buckle which causes the doors not to open, but as you can see, the sides stayed intact. Looks great to me. Here is the link for all of the safety features on Lexus.com: http://www.lexus.com/models/RXh/features/safety.html alexandrina 10-20-2007, 06:19 AM I HavE nO IdEa.... But HEy!
