I have recently been eyeing the Lexus GX470. In my opinion, I feel that cars that have more horse power, are better, but not always faster. What is the horse power of the Lexus GX470 compared to a normal SUV.

I think the horsepower of the Lexus GX470 is around 270 I believe. That's about the norm for an suv now a days.

It's not a very powerful SUV, actually - but it doesn't feel weak at all..

In my opinion we can't perceive anything from any vehicle with horse power only. There are many more aspects and specifications like torque, displacement and compression ratio so I think this is very complex calculation.

It doesn't put up to many bad numbers on the chart... their are a few things that I would change about the GX, but not to many.

Horsepower is what sells cars and trucks in todays world. I believe that torque is much more important.
