Hello guys, I have been fond of the Lexus Logo and their cars. However, my father is a BMW driver, and he has parked next to a couple of lexus's when I was with him. I compared the model of a Lexus and a BMW they are about the same. BMW has been around longer also. I do not wish to start a debate, but I feel this is true.

What models of the lexus and BMW are you comparing side by side if you don't mind me asking?

I can agree with this. I've seen some lexus models that look like BMW's and I've seen a lot of other cars look like some of it's competitors.

The original Lexus LS400 looked a LOT like a Mercedes.. Then again, so did the Acura RL... Currently, the Lexus LS460 looks a LOT like a BMW 7-Series...

Lexus is slowly but surely getting their own identity... They haven't been around for very long. It takes time...

You can compare it with BMW .I like to have a Lexus car instead of BMW.

A debate is almost the only way to handle this. I can't help any in the debate since I have never driven a BMW, but others may be able to help :)

I own a Lexus, we own two of them in fact. I have also owned more BMW's than I can count. The bottom line is the BMW is a more involving car with more character, and an unparalleled visceral driving experience.

Lexus isn't trying to be BMW, and that's what has made them a universal success. A solid reliable car with all the luxury of a classic Cadillac. When it comes to getting to work everyday with minimal fuss and supreme comfort, few things come close to my LS400. It's like your favorite pair of jeans, or the ball-cap you just can't leave home without.

Two brands aimed at two different ends of the market. The new IS-F has blurred that line a bit, but it's still no M3, and you know what... there's not a damn thing wrong with that.

I bet the IS-F will be, far VERY far, the most comfortable and luxurious sports car there is (for its size).
