I am debating between these two vehicles as my next purchase...I like the looks of them both, and could probably get a newer navigator for the money up to maybe 2001. The lexus I have found for a steal. I was wondering what anyone's experience was with either of these vehicles...to help decide which might be a better fit for me?

A Toyota will beat a Ford in all three areas - reliability, durability, and maintenance cost. Stick with the Lexus. Navigators have lots of electrical, steering and suspension, heating, and engine issues.
