k...my parents really need a new car. My mom drives a lexus gs300 93 w/ like 250,00 miles and my dad drives a 98 lexus ls400 (167,00miles) or a 98 lexus lx470(187,000). My mom was thinking about getting a lexus gs430 w/ like 100.000 miles! are they good....they look soo sweet! i know lexus are reliable but my parents are on a extremely cheap budget! (under 13,500)

Does anyone own one on the second generation? how do you like it?

You can't go wrong with the 2nd generation GS line. I have been around these cars for 11 years and the 1st generation SC was my baby till they breathed life into the GS. 1st generation GS is just pure dog compared to the 2nd generation.

My dream car.....and I touch Porsche, Ferrari, etc every day....a 01/02' GS430 in Blackberry with black interior. Has to be the sweetest machine I have seen in all my car days.

And 100,000 miles is nothing on a Lexus. As you realize since the other 3 in the house are all over 150k in miles and still going.

the gs430 is agreat car no problems if your mum is happy with the old ge300 she will be raped with the 430 as its very nice on the road better on fuel then the old gs plus all the added extras that milage is no problem she will also notice the better driving position lexus are a great car takes a lot to better there reliabty as well

if you are looking for a luxery car never go with lexus.
your best bets are either an acura, mercedes benz, or a bmw the will give you the top of line in everything. Lastly acura does not get the credit it deserves. Acura is a better car make than a lexus in any model.
