I think I like MDX more, but it's 6" wider and longer, bad for a tight parking space at my office garage. I own a '99 RX 300 with 110k miles on it, so I trust Lexus. My wife wants smooth and quiet ride, and Lexus has the edge there. Any advise?

Stay away from the first generation MDX. read up on the MDX forums. Many people wonder if the MDX was/is supposed to self destruct after 100,000 miles. My own experience, my wifes MDX started leaking oil (severely) ~ 40,000 miles. To my down fall the local Acura dealership is 3 hours away, and Honda (20 minutes away) "can't" work on Acura's for recall or any possible good faith issues. Dealer stated leaking oil pan gasket could fix for ~$400.00 and would need to keep the car an additional day. My service bulletin stated a porous block, however we were just outside of our warranty. anyways rotors warped ~ 48,000 miles no material to turn new rotors were installed. But the best part is our torque converter has recently gone out ~70,000 miles and acura wants ~$3000 to fix. My wifes old toyota was by far the better vehicle. I know with the treatment from acura (both the dealership and headquarters) I will never buy another honda or acura again. Again don't take my word check out the forums to judge for yourself.
