View Full Version : Help with 22 inch rims on a 1999 Lexus GS 300!!?

I was trying to find out all the problems I will run into when i put on 22 inch rims on a 1999 lexus GS 300. I know the rims fit bcause I have seen them. But i wanted some help to figure out all the problems and what I can do to fix them....or prepare for them. Thanx!!!!

Okay Playa!!! I don't have rims on my car, but I did hear that you definitely have to be careful about hitting pot holes and bumps (which throw off your wheel alignment). Other than that, he mentioned that you shouldn't be too heavy (weight) wise, ridin' on those 22s. Be careful out there and watch ya back... Good luck.

increase in rim size will make hitting potholes much more noticeable. there is less room for the rim to travel and may wind up hitting the wheel wells on deep bumps or holes. might suggest you get some stiffer springs to reslove this. unless you want it to look real ghetto, I suggest you also invest in some bigger rotors and calipers. preferably Brembo rotors. will help with the braking since you're putting much larger rims than OEM.
