Everything about the car audio is stock. I want to add better quality bass. Subwoofer? What do I need to know about adding a subwoofer and better sound?
I am trying to remain thrifty, so please keep that in mind. Thanks!

You should buy everything on-line.....Way cheaper than retail....Take it to a GOOD Stereo shop and don't cut corners on all of the wiring.....
You are going to get 1,000 different opinions on what brands to use.......
www.crutchfield.com is a good place to buy stuff
Some information about subs:

Info about amps:

Good Luck
Take it to a reputable place. Also keep in mind that installing additional electric wires can alter you warranty, and in case of future recall (not a likely chance for lexus) you might be required to shell extra for them to rewire it.

You're driving a Lexus LX 450 SUV. I don't see a need to be thrifty! Take it to a stereo shop!

Ya I would leave this one up to a pro.
Luxury cars have changed their audio format over the past decade. Instead of the radio and preamp being in one unit in the dash they are using the on-board computer as the radio and amp. Usually what you think is the radio in your dash (now-a-days) is really a command screen connected to the cars computer.
