I agree that the quality is about the same. However, the driving experience is not. The G35 has been touted by the automotive press for some time. It has given the BMW three series a real test over the last few years. In addition the G35 comes in an all-wheel-drive model. (G35x) This may be a factor for you if you live in a climate that gets snow.

Drive both and see what you like. I always like to read what the experts have to say before I drive so I can see if I agree with them.
