they couldn't find anything wrong? I mean the brake light is on for a reason.

There seems to be alot of problems with the brake light switches and sensors in Lexuses. My 1998 LS400 always from the day I bought it had a warning that said there was a TAIL LAMP FAILURE. I checked every single bulb and they were all PERFECT, I NEVER got the message to go away.
