Well, here is my dilemma. I am looking at BMW 328 xi Sedan & Lexus IS 250 AWD. Or 335xi vs ES350. Any ideas?

I am looking for:

1. Hotness factor (Brand)
2. Performance (maintenance hassle-free)
3. Comfort

Other secondary concerns:
1. Resale value after 4-5 years.


Any ideas???

Ok, when do you see a Lexus on a car auction beside the repo or confiscated auctions? I know people with both brands and I know some Lexus with power steering issues. They are not as reliable as people think or say. All boils down to the drivers. Do the maintenance like the other gal say and any car on any brand will last. BMW has the free maintenance deal. Comfort is what you like, BMW are more of a driver's car, Lexus is more for a gadget, the video game generation. You decide what is hot or not. To me BMW is nice looking, they look like a BMW, Lexus looks more like a up class Toyota or like any other car from Japan, they all look alike.

The question is, do you want your car to look like a Camry or a BMW? Also, cars are a bad investment, does not matter the brand. You do not know if in 4 to 5 years Lexus will have a bad reputation or might get even better, the same goes with BMW. Reports has it, that Buick passed Lexus on costumer satisfaction so no company is immune to bad reviews too.

The bottom like. Take a couple of test drives, see what you like and buy what you like. Beside the car is for you, no for me.

I would chose the Lexus because it has a better ride and will be more reliable. I know too many people that have owned BMWs and have had nothing but problems with them. My boyfriend has a 98 Lexus and he has never had any problems with it. Just keep up the maintenance and a Lexus will last forever.
