When I say "a good shop", I don't mean the gas station that your cousin manages. I'm looking for a place that specifically focuses on the Lexus and Toyota brands. Thanks to all for your help.

I don't work for Lexus but am in the automotive sector.

I am also a 11 year Lexus expert.

I only trust a certified Lexus mechanic to work on a Lexus. They are the only people w/ the proper tools, computer equipment and knowledge to work on such a car.

Some mechanic shops might be good and very good but high line cars like Lexus, Land Rover, BMW should be worked on by a dealership. Even mechanics that worked for such dealers and then quit might be good but they are only updated on the product until the time they quit. The longer they are on their own the less and less they actually know on the newer models.

I have watched friends try "other mechanics" with their Lexus, BMW, Benz you name it. Not one had a good experience. The worse was the buddy with a 750i BMW. Took it to a Midas shop to have just plugs and wires installed. The 19 yr old wanna be mechanic shorted out his entire main computer. His car is running now after an extra $9200 in work.

An expert is an expert for a reason....always trust an expert.
