Transmission is likely to be the eight-speed automatic from the LS 460, modified to allow full manual mode via paddles and ultrafast shifts.

The details 2012 Lexus GS-F shows that It would be a very high speed car.Driver of this car can use full manual only by his foot and paddles and ultrafast shift system.

Ah I love this car... it'll be one of the fastest Lexus cars ever I do believe if I am not wrong.

Gosh, 2012 sure seems ALONG way off. By then the M5 will producing at LEAST 650hp and the Skyline will have been out for 3 model years. I'm willing to bet they could do this to the GS for 2010 but want to wait and patiently see how the IS-F does before committing to the GS project.

Yeah, a lot of people are saying this.. 2012 is a LONG way off. Everything could be different by then.. What were things like in 2002? Remember? Gas was like half the price. So it's doubled since then. What if it doubles again? I can understand them wanting to test the market - but I think Cadillac did just that with the V-Series.. Lexus should just go for it, if you ask me...
