I don't know why my Lexus engine light suddenly come on last week? the car got like 54k miles and it a 2001. I take very good care of the car, no racing or mod going. All JDM. Can some please help me explain what might be the problem? I was thinking it either the air filter or dirty oil. But not sure, the weather been bad so I can't do much yet. But any avised is appreciated. I was gonna disconnect the battery and reset the light. But i think the light come on for a reason. Thank You and god bless

Take it to auto mechanic, he would check and find out the real problem.

Take it to autozone and they will scan the OBD-II codes for free and give you a print out with possible causes.
