i have a 1993 lexus sc 300 with 130K miles on it. i know i have an exhaust leak and the sound comes from the engine area. i filled up my take on saturday and i have a 20 gal tank. with have the tank gone my trip meter says i have gone only 100 miles. yes i did reset the trip meter when i filled up. i dont know what it could be but it really sucks now. i hope someone can answer my question and help me out and save some gas. whats wrong with my car why is it drinking so much gas?

exhaust leak may be allowing additional air into the exhaust system and causing the O2 sensors to give faulty info to the computer and getting a bad air fuel ratio.

You will need professional diagnosis from a small reputable shop.

Stay away from dealerships unless necessary, they eliminate the natural connection between customer and mechanic and you will never know who is working on your car.

There is diagnostic procedure which needs to be followed and most small shops will do diagnosis only if this is what you wish.

When did you last do a tune up? Maybe you got a tank of bad gas. Or your air filter is dirty. Milage kinda sucks on my van in the past week as well. Extreme cold and driving in the snow has a lot to do with it as well.
