View Full Version : Do I have to use dealer parts when changing the timing belt/water pump on... Blingsley 02-09-2008, 01:55 AM ...a Lexus ES 300? Would I be fine with just an oem timing belt and an after market water pump? I have found many great deals for a complete timing belt +water pump kits as low as $150 on ebay and other places. Dealer prices are double. Do I risk poor performance with these after market parts or possibity the belt snaping? Mechanics please free to give me the inside scoop.
