miles on it? i really like this car , i am also interested in the toyota camry , b/c lexus is just a name its really toyota but I have noticed that the ES 300 and the Camry receive good consumer ratings and are mechanic friendly , do you think it is worth it with such high miles........if i really attempt to buy this vehicle i would have Lexus dealer check the car out.........

First, remove the oil cap and stick the key in there and see if you can scoop any black muck out. If you can, the oil wasn't changed regularly and the engine MAY have excess wear on it.

Second, check the steering, as the front shock mounts usually are worn out and loose. Turn the steering wheel from right to left and listen for any unusual noises like "clunks". Drive the car over some small speed bumps or other bumps and listen for the same noises.

With the hood up, have someone look at the top of the shock towers while you turn the wheel right and left. There shouldn't be much movement there.

LEXUS is NOT just a name. It is a quieter, smoother, much more refined car than the standard Toyota. My family has several of BOTH, and I have driven and worked on most of them.

Yea it is a good car for ride quality and performance it is also comfortable. You need to get examined all parts before you go into deal.
