Also, what kind of cleaner should I be using? Thanks! LEX 10-07-2007, 08:35 AM I would suggest using Meguiars Hot Wheel Cleaner along with Meguiars wheel spoke brush to clean the inside of the rim. LEX 10-07-2007, 08:36 AM By the way, I think you can get them both for around $20 at walmart. I suggest cleaning your rims each time you wash your car. Darnel 10-07-2007, 08:50 AM I would suggest using Meguiars Hot Wheel Cleaner along with Meguiars wheel spoke brush to clean the inside of the rim. I use this stysemt as well and it works wonders most of the time. It saves a lot of time and energy than having to take your wheels off. Jeremy_Smith 10-08-2007, 04:23 PM I stopped using stuff on my wheels after this year. The stuff I was using on my wheels must have peeled the coating of the rim off :( Bobby 10-09-2007, 03:14 AM I would suggest using Meguiars Hot Wheel Cleaner along with Meguiars wheel spoke brush to clean the inside of the rim. They actually discontinued all of their brushes, so you may have to use another brand. step02 04-03-2008, 01:46 AM I stopped using stuff on my wheels after this year. The stuff I was using on my wheels must have peeled the coating of the rim off :( The cleaner you used was too harsh. Did you check to see if it was a high-ph or ph-balanced cleaner? You need to get one that is safe on alloy/chrome wheels to prevent it from eating the clear coat on the wheel. Throw on some wax after cleaning the wheels to allow for easier cleaning next time (helps prevent brake dust from staining the wheel). Clay bar it first if it is rough. |
