I have a 97 LS400 that sometimes when I try and turn off the key, it will not turn past Accessory. Therefore the key will not come out, and it drains the battery. I can ususally crank the car again, back up, or just move the car and try again and it will turn off. I have checked on having it repaired and been told that it could cost upwards of $1,500.00. New steering column, new ignition, etc. The car has 128,000 miles. Anyone have any suggestions?
