happy new year, everybody

How can I tell if those used cars of the 99-2002 vintage are bad bets for oil sludge damage? I*'m looking at a couple of the above, but they seem priced awful cheap compared to these nameplates other vintages. Is the market discounting the price of a new engine with these prices? How can I tell if one of these has, or is about to suffer catastrophic oil sludge damage? Would the Toyota class action settlement provide any benefit to a used car buyer such as myself?

If you really want a Japanese car get a Honda. Just make sure the timing belt is in good shape, because if it breaks more than likely you'll have bent valves.

well first a 99/00 any car not a vintage and oil sludge not likey in mostrt car if oil changes done at all

want to price any car type into search box

year model for sale

will bring up that car for sale can see what rest selling for
and when your buying a used car
type into search box
how to check a used car

gets you a check list to help you look for signs of problems

oil sludge happens over a long time of lack of care an dnot many time it cause much damage an dthat damage you cant just look at but there are other signs of being bad say suck has any low fluids or oil leaks you know right away its not been cared for right an da good sign you dont want it get a check list wil help you decide what shape its in

and you cant really see inside motor but if you check shape your less likely to have problems and there is no class action settlement provided you buy as is is why you must check or have it check before you buy it once you buy it its yours

never buy a car that needs repaired before you can drive it
