What kind of soap do you use to wash your car with? I'm a little confused on which brands to use since they vary in price from $5-$15 from what I can tell.

Anything car wash should work, just make sure you don't use dish soap. I've seen this done time and time again and all it does is strip the wax.

I've always used the basic Meguiars car wash which you can get for around 8-9 bucks. They do have an NXT wash for 12-15, but I like the basic stuff.

Just go to your local auto parts store and pick up just about any kind of wash. I've used a lot of different products and they all work about the same.

I use meguiars wash and it works like no other! All you need is about a t-spoon and it'll wash your entire car!

I've tried that stuff on my lexus and it's alright. I still like the self drying system better myself even though it's a little more.

Funny you mentioned this! I remember that I used dish soap back in my early teanage years. I've learned a lot since then!

The NXT stuff is a joke, it works just like the regular wash and your saving about 5 bucks.

I agree... I've used a few different washes recently and they all work the same. Why pay more for something?

Thanks once more everyone for the fast replies to my thread! I'm planning on going out sometime next week and purchasing a bunch of detailing products. I'll post some reviews a little later :)

Almost anything and everything will work just fine. Experiment a little with these things. Don't be afraid to buy a few different kinds.

I just use that self drying spray wash system that you hook up to your hose and have been using it for some time now. Works great.

I use the new NXT wash that Meguiars came out with a while back. It works well for me and you only need about a lid full of it.
