OYAMA, Japan — Toyota chose a swerving Formula One racing course to show its new luxury Lexus sportscar Thursday, to make sure reporters got the message the new IS F model is about revved up engine muscle and the thrill of nimble handling.

Toyota is planning to sell 7,000 Lexus IS F cars globally a year, about 5,000 or 6,000 in the U.S., 500 in Japan and the rest in Europe.

The $67,000 sportscar, which can hit speeds of 168 mph, rolls out Dec. 25 in Japan, and in February or March in the U.S., Toyota executive Takeshi Yoshida said. The car's official website pronounces it the "fastest Lexus ever."

That's costs a pretty penny, but it isn't to bad since it has 423HP. I've seen cars with less horsepower that costs a little more.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The lexus IS-F is one of my favorite cars of all time... very nice!

Well.. Not the Viper or Vette, but it'll be able to compete with the Cadillac CTS-V - until the new one comes out in 2009. While this IS the fastest car Lexus has ever produced, it's far from the fastest car available.

Yeah, I'm not sure that it can handle the viper, but the viper is a very heavy vehicle. My cousin out performed a Viper in his new Z28 Camaro on dragway 42 with just basic bolt ons.

Where as I think the company has tried to produce a car with both the qualities ,luxury and sports car and this a fact that Lexus IS-F is a combination of luxury and high speed car which can hit the speed of 168mph.

There is no doubt in it that Toyota has manufacture the fastest car ever on this planet.There is no other car available in the market so fast as Lexus.
